I'd like to add that I took a long drive yesterday (about 350 miles total) and the oil PSI was a solid 65 on the highway and at least 50 at hot idle. I couldn't discern any odd noises, although ANY valvetrain noise bothers me because I keep thinking it might be something else even though it sounds the same as right after I got the cam done

For now I'm not going to drive it anywhere very far away (just in case) and I'm going to wait and see what the oil analysis says. It SUCKS not being able to haul *** :(

Bob my oil pressure was good until the knock in both motors (not trying to scare you.) Although I swear I saw my oil pressure drop 15psi then come right back up on the way to the dyno but I didn't think anything of it. I wouldn't drive your Ei any till you get your oil analysis done. I wish you and your car the best of luck…. At least your Ei isn’t black

It looks black in the shade though

And yes, PSI pretty much means (or can mean) squat unfortunately...

But yeah, I'm waiting to see what the results say. I might need as big of a "buffer" as possible available if I need to drive somewhere to get the engine replaced.

In that case make sure she has a night light during the hours of 6pm-7am. Hope for the best, I know I am.

Agreed... I stayed close to home until the motor could be trusted.

Oddly enough, I'm not sure if I trust my motor 100%....although I say I do. It'* more like a peacefulness that I have found. If it goes, there'* nothing we can do to stop it. The first two taught me that.

I'm about due for a change. Maybe I'll get to that tonight and post up a picture. (Going to buy a new, clean pan for that one.
