Bob, do you have any KR?

...assuming you have an Aeroforce.

Not being completely confident of a motor sucks.

I do have an Aeroforce, yes. Sometimes when I punch it on the freeway it'll spike to 3 and quickly dissapate, but WOT from a stop I get none.

1195 Miles on this oil

I couldn’t see any metal flakes in the oil, even fishing around with a magnet produced nothing.

Camera makes the oil looks dirtier then it really was.

My oil pressure at cold idle with 10w30 synthetic, 36k on motor and an Intense Oil pressure kit.

Keep your hopes up Bob you drove more miles on your first oil change with more new things inside the motor then me.

Damn, that PSI is HIGH!

Ok, for what it'* worth here... I just changed my oil again, and it looks kind of similar. I can still make it swirl when I stir it and it seems to be a tad sparkly still.

For kicks, I got a clean pan and I dumped out some older oil that I had laying around from BOTH the SSEi and SLE, and I can still produce sort of a swirly affect if I stir each one around. However, it didn't really seem sparkly. Is it possible all the little sparkles I'm seeing are just tiny air bubbles reflecting the light

Again, I don't have a big enough magnet to play around with, but I think I'm DEFINITELY gonna go find one just to be sure! I'm still getting an oil analysis done too of course.

Yeah I don't even think this motor is broken in yet, everything I saw inside it was astoundingly clean and the oil pressure is rock solid all the time. Hot idle (180-200 degrees) is just a hair under 65psi.

I think air bubbles would look much different then what is shown in the picture you took.

Bob..I see the same types of pressure you mentioned. If you've driven that kind of mileage with no KR and no noise.. it'* very possible it'* something in the pan or whatnot.

I'm hoping...but staying sober is tough since Ed isn't drinking his share.

I agree no noise is a blessing. Bill I did have a nice vodka tonic (no tonic) for Bob Saturday night. I’ll make sure to have another or more tonight.

I haven't driven it more than a few miles since refilling after the 50 mile day. I'm just too frickin busy and I take a train to work... PSI is same as before though.

I'm also foreseeably (sp?) working for the next couple weekends, so I'll try and put some miles on during the week here.

Since Bob and I have practically the same setup I snapped a pic of my oil when I changed it Saturday:

I didnt notice any sort of metallic shimmer in it. Thats 10w-30 Mobil1 and I use a 2001 K&N filter. When I got back from the big meet last year(when I had the cam done) I changed my oil and didnt notice anything weird about it, I don't know how many miles it was but it had to be over a thousand.

Here is where my oil pressure usually sits:
