Yeah, me too. That'* why I love AMSOIL.

This was on a 91 S10 that had about 150k on it too. Their stuff is well engineered in my opinion.

one other oft forgotten function of oil is assistance in engine cooling.

The oil test I was trying to load here a while back is biased. They did the same test with Head & Shoulder Shampoo and made it out preform all other tests.I've been looking around on the web and found out about the TEST Oil is Oil?? I went to the Royal Purple site and was doing some reading of the question and answers section. One of these days I'll probably switch over.

They say all Syn. starts out with the same base it'* just all the other additives that make it different from one to another brand/style.

Ran the old 3800 in my Regal to 217k mile on conventional oil. I overheated 4 times one summer and the motor got effectively destroyed. I had tried a variety of synthetic oils including Royal Purple and they all felt the same.

I use valvoline 10w-30 in bubba and thats a 383 stroker motor valvoline has been his favorite sense the engine was built side by side with a wix racing filter at 3k mile oil comes out clean.but if there is one thing i never forget is to change oil every 3k miles.I just did an oil change on my dads truck using 10-30 synthetic and his truck seems to like it .
