around here, they will take a car at a scrap metal yard with no title if you cut the roof off of it

there are also adds in the paper all over the place here saying "paying up to $200 for your unwanted junk car"

scrap metal prices are pretty high here right now they dropped from a month ago though, they were $205 per ton for tin/car body.. full interior and everything, all you had to do is put a hole in the gas tank and they deduct $1 per tire if you don't want them.

I loaded up a 1988 grand prix with old scrap metal I had around here and got almost $400 for it.

maybe it is the same out there??

Here in Canada, my nieghbour drove a Cavalier to the Srap Yard and was upset when they offered him only $30.00 for it. He told the person that he had that much just in gas in the car, and to boot he delivered it to him. The guy let him drive away without offering more. He tells us that there'* not money in it..............Ya Right!
