Default Quick question about a $1500 1998 bonneville!

i was wondering I took a look at a 1998 bonneville today and I was wondering. Is it worth $1500 for a car like this with 283k miles? It drove superb but I dunno how long a car would last with that many miles.

I don't think I'd give $1500 for a car with 283000 miles on the clock. That is just a TON of miles. I'd start at $500 and go from there.

it all depends on the mechanical and cosmetic shape of the car. if it looks good and drives good and has no trans issues I'd say its worth that. take it on a lenthy test drive though to be sure.

Travis'* 97 SSEi has over that many miles and looks good and runs without a problem. but he takes amazing care of his cars. 3800s go forever if you change the UIM and LIM gaskets and keep the oil fresh.

Unless you know the trans was rebuilt recently, stay away from it. The negative risks outweigh the slim chance it'* ok.
