1988 k3500

I have a 88 gmc k3500 when I press hard on the brakes while in park all the gauges go down idk if they do while driving truck had bad trans putting one in soon but the radio lite dims All gauges go down but truck still runs so any idea what it could be. Thanks

What voltage is the electrical system showing at idle (with a real meter, not the dash gauge)?
