Default 180 degree t-stat, 92-98. Solves intake problem?

I was looking at reviews for Bonnevilles on carsurvey.org.

I noticed no one complained about cracked intakes on 99'*

Does the 180 Degree T-Stat really solve that problem?

180* is not stock on the 99s. It'* a 195 just like all other 3800s.

IMO, the 180 stat is not the resolution to the UIM problem.

The best solution is to pick up an UIM from an L26 (Series III 3800). They're aluminum....

Your topic title is misleading. 92-94 don't have UIM manifold problems.

No it wasn't. Mine, including three others here have had their UIMs weaken with miles to the point of failure.

We are yet to see an issue with the 2000+ models...

Hmmm yeah. I suppose.... 95 had L36 instead of L27 right? I mixed years and NA/SC...it was a late night in Bonneland
