180 degree t-stat, 92-98. Solves intake problem?
I was looking at reviews for Bonnevilles on carsurvey.org.
I noticed no one complained about cracked intakes on 99's Does the 180 Degree T-Stat really solve that problem? |
granted that they did the mod the 180* does help cuz of the cooler temps....or is the 180* stock on 99's??
|
the UIM was "redesinged" to our knowlege in 99
|
180* is not stock on the 99s. It's a 195 just like all other 3800s.
IMO, the 180 stat is not the resolution to the UIM problem. The best solution is to pick up an UIM from an L26 (Series III 3800). They're aluminum.... |
Your topic title is misleading. 92-94 don't have UIM manifold problems.
|
Nor do the supercharged 92-96 S1's
and I haven't heard much about the 97-99 S2's either (supercharged only of course) |
I've never touched mine in the SSEi.

We are yet to see an issue with the 2000+ models... |
