fuddyduddy, The relay drivers for the those accessory relays come from the RAC module if I understand correctly what you're saying. Do you know the location of RAC on 01 Bonneville? Just curious if I ever have to troubleshoot prob with my car :?:

FIinally found the problem. It was the crank angle sensor. We had to call the regional manager & ask if there were any shops that have had the same "type" of complaint. sure enough, there was 1 case( Somewhere in Tenn.), that was IDENTICAL to the one we were having. So if any of you get this problem on your car, you know what to check first. BTW there may be more cases, just not diag'ed yet & there are ALOT of symptoms that the Crank angle sensor will show, most having to do with stalling & extended time starting the car( kinda like loosing fuel pressure). Some have replaced the fuel pump & the cars havent come back yet.
Most of these cars with the similar type of problem I have been dealing with are the Series II engine with alot of mileage( 70K +).
We are still trying to figure out why it didnt show up on the tests, so its getting sent out & analized to see if it was an internal short. There may be more underlying problems that we havent discovered yet. I've only had the car up & running for a few hours BUT it doesnt stall now. A few more days of checking things & making sure it doesnt happen again & I will post agin with some results.

LS1, Thanks for the update. Glad to see you got that prob resolved. It must have been a real witch hunt localizing a fault with the crank angle sensor. Is it the crank sensor, or crank angle sensor? Are they two different components?

Its name is actualy the crank sensor, but it senses the "angle"( timing marks) & controls the ignition by way of the PCM. When the car gets warm enough the sensor looses adjustment & the signal from the crank to the PCM gets lost & to avoid hurting the engine the PCM shuts of the car. ( so i've been told)
Actually I dumped the LS1 & got a stroked & supercharged LS6 (383 cubic inches). Its not in the car yet. I'm still working on the front suspension.
