Default In a 1/4 mile who would win?

My hubby and i had a heated discussion as to who'* bonnie would win in a 1/4 mile race.

He'* driving my old 94 SE completely stock, and i've got my 2001 SLE completely stock he says the 94 has more bottom end than the 01. I told him i'd ask the experts on BC.

So who would win?????????????

The 94 is significantly lighter, and develops it'* hp and tq down lower, but it produces LESS. The SLE will overcome on the 1/4, but the 94 should beat it to the 60' and MAYBE even the 1/8.

If the 94 gets a good launch and the newer SLE just dogs it off the line, the 94 will win.

I beat a 98 SSEi that was modified at the strip... Until he learned to launch.

Thanks for the info guys. I guess with these 2 cars all and all it would depend on who'* the better driver. I guess i owe him a night on the town.
I'm surprised to learn that the 94 is lighter than the 01, i guess the look is deceiving. The older style models look like a heavier car.

The 94 should be 400 pounds or so lighter than the 02, but the bigger problem is the 02 is more tail-heavy. Bad news when launching. The 94 makes better use of it'* lighter weight. The higher revving Series 2 will run on the 94 later, though.

I'm really curious to see how this comes out. Keep us posted!

Why don't you just go to the track and find out? Best two out of Three!!!

I think the closest track is probably Caugua pronounced K-U-GA. I'll have to check into it anyone in Ontario know of some more tracks?

I'm putting my money on the 2002, if the person knows how to drive it.

Oh god.

Correction: Until I learned to control how much power I had.
