Default 1/4 Mile Experience

Just wondering what the fastest you've even been down the 1/4 mile track? Whether it be as a driver or a passenger and it doesn't have to be your car. I'm trying to remember myself but it'* been so long and I've driven so many cars.

On a different note, what'* the quickest car you've ever put the pedal to the metal on?

My Grand Am GT did a 14.9 in the quarter, I haven't shot my Bonne down the 1320' yet. The fastest car was my buddies '97 Cobra that he stroked to 5.0 liters with nitrous he would do the 1/8th in 7.9 @ 97mph. 0-60 in 4.3 seconds (datalogged), no traction through first or halfway through second

This thread was more for 1/4 mile times on the track rather then top end speed or quckest street car you've ever been in.

my dad'* malibu... can't remember exact year, but i want to say EARLY 80s... had a solid lifter 327 pulled from a vette, stall of about 5K, a brainless TH400 from an ambulance(extra clutch packs or something) and got a whopping 4MPG on premium or higher...

did pull something in the 11s though IIRC.

13.185 at 104mph in the Bonne. That was before adding the IC, electric WP, 4" FWI, heads, rockers and smaller pulley.

It didn't hit the track fully dressed with all the goodies.
