With Damemorder'* recent announcement of retirement, many of you have contacted Admins expressing your interest in a Moderator position. While we appreciate knowing of your interest, the following should be stated:

Filling a Moderator position is primarily the job of the Moderator Team. They take turns selecting and debating candidates. Some candidates are brought to the table by the Moderators or Admins, others are those that have expressed interest in that position.

If you were considered in one round and didn't get selected, you automatically come up in the next round (unless you didn't keep your nose clean ).

That being said, there are MANY qualified candidates. There are very FEW Moderator positions. The fact that your name may have been in the hat and considered is quite a pat on the back. We fully understand everyone'* willingness to help, but even if you're not selected, there are other ways you can help around the house, and many of you already do.

Please be patient during the long and BRUTAL selection process. The Admins don't like to go in there until the kicking and screaming stops. Don't be dejected if you're not selected THIS time. Keep in mind one of our Moderators got a position the THIRD time that member'* name was 'in the hat'. It can take time.
