I got a couple Ideas here for the site. Under the avatar where it says, posts like an L27, or SSE member etc, how about we make it customizable?? You could keep it whatever rank you would be at, or a custom one?

Also what about changing the logo above where it says PONTIAC BONNEVILLE Club forums? I have the pontiac font the use on cars, and i could whip up that same thing but with the new type font?

Wasnt this bought up before? I thought I saw a reason why this was not desireable in the "New rank.." sticky.

As long as you keep out bad stuff like the 7 words you can't say on TV and don't let people put admin, etc in. I know a lot of forums that use phpBB2 and they all do it once you get to a certian post limit (Most are 300, so you know they are a good guy)

Are you talking about making each user able to make up their own name for a rank?

If so, I can tell you it would be a nightmare to manage. There would need to be a full time person to manage it on a forum this size.

Ya...the brass of BC.com put a lot of effort into the naming of the new ranks etc. Lets keep it the way it is for now.

I think you are worrying about it too much, i know sites with 36,000 members that let the members do it once they hit 300 i believe.... www.pdabuzz.com i hate the place now, but it used to be happeneing till the guy had to sell it to a magazine. It just feels a lil restrictive here sometimes, thats all. It does keep hooligans in line, but we rarely get them here, over 99% of the people here won't do anything.
