Default Another brilliant idea

you might think this is dumb but i likey: instead of having pics in signatures, is there a way to put like a "My Garage" link somewhere belows the sigs? i feel that would clear up whatever problems there are with 56k, etc. if you click the link it could take the "clicker" to a separate page where there would be pics, mod lists and whatever else whoever would want to add. this way the 56k'ers would be checking out pics at their own "risk," and the boards would be much quicker for everyone... Yes, just another one of my incredibly ingenious ideas!!

ClubGP has something like that. It would take up a lot of webspace and work from the admins. It could be tricky, but it is a good idea.

Why not do the "Car Domain" thing then? Not like you have to pay for it either! if everybody makes a Car Domain page for their pics....then 56K'* can click on the Car Domain page if they wish too then! Example? Look in my sig below!

With mine...were i have it hosted on my ISP'* server...
I just used a .jpg compression of like 60-70% and got it to 60kb in size
I think that works out well for 56k users...

but could be wrong

My sig shouldn't be much bigger then 50k total.

People can use cardomain, it'* free, and as much space as possible.

I don't think there is much of a problem right now with sig picture sizes. I am on slow dialup 26.4KBs and I don't have any problems with the signatures. If you are on dialup and having problems with signature pics being a problem you can set you browser not to load the pictures. The signagure pictures are one of the most important things, with out them nobody will ever look at someone elses car. And the forum would get pretty boaring, just all text.
