Why no Metal Coupler for SC?

Why is there not a metal coupler made for the Super Charger? Thanks

The couple is a weak point that allows some flex

I understand that so if it was made from metal it would not work? Would it even be possible to make one out of metal then? Thanks

I think it would cause more noise and more wear.
