HA! I got the b@*ch off. What an acomplishment and learning experience. Now I m faced with another dilemma. Whats thebest to mark to position of the sensor b4 I remove it? I was thinking wite-out. Then I considered colored spray paint. Let it dry till tmorrow, remove sensor and its instantly marked. I'm very open for suggestions.

I used a measuring tape. Hopefully I was all good with it. Now I think I need to buy a heavy duty torque wrench bec the 3/8" I have only goes up to 800in lbs or 66ft lbs but for this balancer bolt I need 200 or so ft lbs. It might cost me abt a $100 bucks at Sears but it will be going back when done. Ill update tomorrow.

Everything'* back together but car won't start now. There is plenty of gas in it. It will crank. After abt 5seconds of strong crankin it starts to go weak. What could have possibly happened w the crank sensor? :(

Ok I checked the plug. I chkd the battery voltage and even gave my self a jump while tryin to crank. My batt is very strong. So while waitng for a response I decided to remove the pulley again and ck things out. BTW I purchased a 250max torque wrench today and set it to 110ft lbs when I reinstalled pulley plus an addtl .76 degree turn per manual specs. As long as I used the right torque that pulley should be all the way on. Here'* what I found: My inner hub on the back side of the pulley almost directly across from the woodruf key slot has a small chip of metal missing near the outer edge. Plus I cant find the woodruf key, it was there when I put the pulley back on but no idea where its at now. I don't want to take the sensor back off yet bec I feel like I lined it up right? :?:

The belts went on fine. So if this woodruf key is not present would it keep the car from starting? Can I get a key from dealer?

Is it possible that I didnt line up shaft properly and from all the torque of tightng back I actually may have pushed the pin into the actual crankshaft?

I was just abt to go to sleep and I think I figured out what happened. When I placed the pulley back on I must have lined the key up properly but maybe I didn't push the pulley on far enough so when I started to torque the bolt the pulley turned away from the key which explains why I have that chunk of metal missing on the opposite end of the key slot. Is there a way to make sure the pulley is on the key b4 tightening?

I advised you against doing this job. I am not gloating but you should have listened. Find someone who has done this type of work and buy them a case of beer or something and ask them to give you a hand. Before you screw up the crankshaft or something equally horrible.
