Default Supercharger making noise

Hey peeps,
I was having a couple problems with my supercharger last month so i decided to get another one, and while i was at it decided to also do a couple of modifications...
To get the shorty short and to the point, we installed the supercharger, the car is finally done after 4 days in the garage ( quite a few problems we had with everything, i didnt only do the supercharger)

Theres just one thing, the nose of the supercharger is making a rattling noise...only the noise though and its only on idle, when i rev it disapears...we replaced the oil and everything is done and ok, its just that... :*
Would anybody know what would cause that?
P.*\ I changed the pulley for a 2.2"

no. if you want to confirm it is the coupler, take off the SC belt and spin the pulley by hand. if there is slop/play, the coupler is bad.

yep, thats enough to make it rattle. general alowance when it starts to rattle is 0.5mm-1mm of slack.

intense-racing.com sells coupler kits and supercharger oil, you will also need some red gasket maker.

with that little play , if you can live with the noise, you could wait. If the noise gets worse, then the situation would have to be re-evaluated. The one thing with the S1 which you have, is that you cannot run without the sc belt, so you don't want a castrophic failure (complete breakage of the coupler, which is unlikely) the lobe holes just become elongated, causing the play.

is there anything else that could make the noise? I sold him that charger. It was the old one from my car that I replaced with a ported one, and I remember it making no noise at all when it came off :?

either way I guess it wouldn't hurt to do the cupler as I never did it with that charger (never knew it needed it) I hope thats all it is since its a very easy job, just a pain since you did everything else already
