Default Supercharger?

Not sure if this is the right topic, but a few weeks ago I posted a topic about centrifugal supercharging and I was recommended to, instead, do a Gen V swap or maybe a Whipple or other supercharger.
So I just have a couple questions regarding that.

~What would be the most effective for price and what the diffences between them are.
~What has to be considered in swapping? (anything else have to change?)
~And also is there any Whipple SCs or the like for a 3.8? If not, is there any other kind that can be fitted to our engines?

Any feedback is appreciated.

try some other supporting mods before you get into SC swaps. You are looking at $1000+ for a genV swap, or thousands for a Whipple

start looking at the INTENSE Performance Packages for a real kick in the pants

Well as soon as this disgusting winter ends, I'm going to get the level 2 package, but I'm considering getting the level 3 package.
I'll have to pick up some extra shifts and sell my kidneys though...

But anyway, level 2 package for sure.

A whipple has been shown to only help gain significantly with a lot of supporting mods such as a large cam, stage III+ heads, and everything that goes with that. Otherwise for the money you aren't going to gain all that much. But it would be something different than everyone else, so if you have the money go for it. A gen V would be good, but it looks like you are looking for other avenues than the norm. If you could find one a MP112 could be awesome, but they are very rare any more and just as pricey as the whipple.

I was looking at the MP112 a while ago. Some GTP had it and they said it was next to impossible to tune.

Haha well I'm guessing the power gains from the MP112 will be as little as the Whipple without the supporting mods.

Don't blow it if you can't flow it.
