Temps will increase with boost whether you are stock or not. It is more noticable when the pulley is changed. Probably because then we are on the boost more often.
Basically it "Depends" on how much you use it.

Lets say you have to use 1/2 throttle to achieve same boost as 1/4 throttle <-- that has smaller pulley to get same boost.. so with the Throttle plate more open. it allows more cooler air in.. so wouldn't that in theory lower the intake temp when it reaches the cylinder? We know with lower intake temp.. it would produce more efficient burn and thus help with MPG??
MUSTAFA.. you did also raise agood point bout not running in boost.. and that also makes sense...

Stock pulley = x rpm of rotors at y engine rpm
Smaller pulley = x rpm of rotors at z engine rpm, where z engine rpm is lower than y engine rpm.
In both cases, the intake charge is the same.

So in other words.. as for daily driving/accelaration.. the */C spins faster and the power gained outweighs the lil if any heat that is caused by higher boost from smaller pulley ( given @ set RPM vs. stock pulley ) and in which sense MAY gain MPG? ( maybe 1~2 MPG) .. got this right right??

I was thinking the modular pulley system was the way to do to keep from dealing with the puller issue and possibly damaging the shaft over time. Ideas/Thoughts?
My 95 didn't have any reliability issues or changes. Only for the better.

BTW, Bill, for some of us, reliability at the track is also an issue.......and usually invovles actually running your car on the track...........at least once
Back on topic: I think the modular pulley system could be the way to go for me. Could I benefit from putting on a larger pulley for the hot summer months for KR and switching for the fall/winter/spring and for track runs? or is it not needed?
