Soon to pulley...Q'* for the pullied
As many know I'll soon have a 3.4 pulley.
My thoughts as I enter winter here in New England are I might wait until spring to add the pulley. The mod bug tells me to add it the second it hits my front steps.
Who has run through the winter with pulley before and besides awesome boost from cold air and no KR, is there any negatives about winter running with it?
I'm already pushing a 180 stat. Got the TR55'* at .060 and will clean and gap them to .055 when the pulley is installed. Intake is currently a fully gutted air box with K&N.
Winter..it'* coming and quickly.

Honestly I don't think there is any concern running your 3.4 through the winter or any time of year for that matter, anything smaller perhaps but not the 3.4
What type of pulley did you buy, a one size press on or quick changer? I bought a one size and in hind sight I wish I had bought a quick change version.

Not sure about the intake at the moment, however it does have a K&N on it.
Got a puller all to myself now, no renting. If I had to rent, it would be only once.

From experience, if you have KR issues, the pulley will magnify it. Which is why mine is back to stock until I get it under control. Other than that, be light on the go pedal when the white stuff is on the road or we will be calling you BillBoostedhimselfrightoffthewinterroads37.

Well, I'll get by with running a 3.0" pulley this winter...had to upsize a bit
While a small pulley may cause trouble with KR, the cold air is the saving grace. When I was almost stock it was incredible the decrease in horsepower with a 3.5" pulley as spring rolled in and warmer temps prevailed.
You should always scan your car after a mod to know how well the motor and PCM have adapted. That said, your biggest problem in winter is likely to be traction :P :P
Cheers,
