Default SC Oil on Rotors...

I took my SC apart today, found what I knew the rattling was, coupler actually shattered. Anyway.. I noticed that on my rotors there'* SC oil. I'm guessing this means I'll have to replace the seals and bearings behind the gears. Is this an involved process? I'm just a beginner so, don't want to get in too deep but I have to fix it at least while its off.

How do you know it'* supercharger oil? If your coupler shattered, the rotors wouldn't turn very well. Did you notice that your lower intake manifold is coated in oil? That'* Engine oil from the PCV system. I'd make damn sure what it is. Replacing the seals and bearings in the rotor plate is not something everyone wants to attempt.

I strongly suggest you read the topic in this section titled "It has begun" and the warning in the announcement at the top to M62 and M90 rebuilders. For the most part, rebuilding a SC is not difficult, but that particular part of the job IS.

Just read your post, doesn't seem like something I'd want to attempt. I'm just going to hope that maybe i spilled some SC oil into the rotors while cleaning it off. Thanks again
