Rotor Coating loss
Those that are following this topic will see my pics on page 1. The Bullet and the Zilla both saw somewhat equal amounts of water and methanol over the last year. At least that'* what we assume by discussing our frequency of use and testing.
What is the difference between the coating used on your Series 1 SC and my Series 2 :?:

Paul, from what I've seen of them (having both types here at different times), they're the same. I'd assume yours would be some type of application defect. Not cleaning the rotors as well before yours were coated, rather than a difference in coating.

I was reading the FSM about the SC and it says if the SC blows enough oil out the snout to cause puddling, and it did a lot, then the SC must be replaced.
Damn, I wish I would have read that when this was still under warranty.....but then I probably wouldn't have swapped over to the Gen 5 Bullet Blower. :P

If it blows oil out the snout, the snout is pressurizing due to leaks in one or both seals in the rotor assembly bearing plate. That'* the only reason (other than extreme boost overcoming those seals).
There'* a video of BadSSEi running at the track that shows puffs of smoke at each shift. The cause is at the upper rpm'*/higher boost on the blowzilla, it burps SC oil out and cooks it off.
