Default Replace Intake gasket or not???

I will be replacing the bearings in the nose drive of my 93 this weekend, hopefully.

I have the gaskets for the throttle body and */C to intake along with the O rings. I also plan on replacing the plastic bypass fitting with the metal one. And also replace the o rings and seals on the injectors.

Is there any reason to replace the intake gaskets while I'm there?

Thanks :?: :?:

Not the gaskets between the heads and lower intake, unless of course you're pulling the lower intake. No reason to. I'd suggest changing the TB gasket though. Clean the TB while you have all that apart. That TB seal picks up alot of heat on a SC car, and doesn't always go back together well.

I do have new throttle body gaskets. I took the TB off 2 years ago and did a major cleaning (with the MAF removed). It icreased my idle vacuum to the peg on the guage. I suspicion a leaking */C to intake vacuum leak now.

The metal hose connector that I bought from GMPARTSDIRECT turned out to be the intake side with the bleed screw, so its off to AutoZone for a metal bypass hose connector.

I haven't found any LOCTITE 510 for the nose to body seal. I see on numerous posts where all kinds of RTV has been used. I also know these leak and the oil is synthetic etc.so I really only like to do most jobs once and right.

I didn't want to replace th intake gasketm, but have one in case.

Thanks,
