I knew that it couldn't be right it was just too much for stock. I've drove a few other SSEi'* and they never got even close to 10. You should of seen my eyes light up when I wrapt that needle around the boost gauge for the first time! I was like WTF. . . . .No Way! Now that school is over for Christmas I can look into that problem and a few other projects my friend and I have been working on.

I have an L-67 with a 2.3 inch pulley on it. My boost ( checked with an aftermarket gauge ) is about 11 to 12 at WOT ( actually 11.5 ). About 2.5 to 3 pounds over stock.

Mine goes past ten at WOT. It appears to be right at 11-12 each time. Before I had exhaust, I could get past ten at 3/4 throttle. Now with a little better flow she doesn't read quite as high, but it still pegs at WOT.

O and whoever is running a 2.1 pulley and said there car doesn't get that much boost at WOT, I think you are running too small of a pulley and likely getting KR, not sure if that would affect your boost or not, but maybe your PCM is holding back boost because of that.

KR does not affect boost levels.

KR just retards the timing of the engine, not the */C boost.

Well, okay, but don't you guys think it is still too small to run? Anyhow, it'* your car, whatever works.

pretty soon ill be runnin a 2.2" on a 95....and lets see carry the 1......that should be like 15+psi boost, or the highest boosted SER1 L67 in the US (that I know of anyways).....at least for a little while...intercooler project is back online (funded by christmas dough!!! )

That pulley is certainly going to require at LEAST intercooling. Don't be surprised if you don't hit 15 As the heat goes up, density (and indicated boost) go down.

hopefully my design will cool enough....as I will be running an "ice box" inline with the front mount heat exchanger (which will be fan driven as well) with fresh ice in im hoping for little to no KR and w/o probly a few degrees, or probly about the same kinda KR im runnin now with the 2.5".....but well see when its done....im gonna run some scantool tests on it with the 2.5" and if I get 0* KR then ill swap in the 2.2" and run her again, if I dont get 0* then ill have to try something else. Hopefully the rockers and the IC will kill KR enough as a team to let me run the 2.2" on the street. BTW I bet yer probly right about the lower boost thing, as when I typed that last I forgot to think about loss of boost through the IC itself (acting like a 1.5" intake stack) and the rockers allowing more flow....plus once DrJay gets some header specs for us drooling SER1 monkeys that should kill even more indicated boost (and KR at the same time)

Maby more like 13 or so psi...either way looks like im scrappin the Tranny temp and Voltmeter pillar pod for a Boost and tranny temp pillar pod, cause im pretty sure that stock boost gauge is gonna laugh at me when I really get on it, being im already peggin it out with the 2.5"

anyways wish me luck findin a good machine shop for this plate.....jeez it sucks being in Missouri sumtimes :?
