I feel like such a tool...

The belt broke. I didn't even notice it the first time I popped the hood! It looks like two pulleys went with it. The tension pully has burt rubber/melted plastic all over it and the pulley between and to the right of the crank and cam pulleys is completely gone.

I measured the tension pulley at 3". Does anyone know if the other idler pulley is the same size? Autozone'* website shows they have 3" and 3.5" pulleys.

Thanks for the help.

Another question: should the supercharger pulley spin freely with no resistance? I turned it last night after I realized the belt was gone and it spun like it wasn't connected to anything inside the snout just like an idler pully. I'm afraid something inside the supercharger is broken too. Please tell me I'm being paranoid...

Should spin easy. Turn it back and forth, you should feel the weight of the rotors. If there'* almost nothing it'* possible the coupler has been shredded.

I think I may have jumped to conclusions before. Last night I felt the SC pulley again and it has some weight to it. It feels about four to five times heavier than one of the idler pulleys. I guess I just assumed it should have more weight to it at the time. I think I'll be OK if I replace the belt and missing/damaged pulleys. Thanks again.
