I bought a rebuilt supercharger as the one in the car is rattling when it idles. I was hoping someone might have detailed instructions on the steps for removal and replacement. Thanks in Advance. Joe P.

Joe... I'd like to sidetrack you for a moment and ask that you share where you bought the rebuilt charger from. We've found there are a few "rebuilders" that typically make a supercharger have a shorter life than your original.

And your original may only need a $30 coupler and a $7 bottle of SC oil to fix it up.

Finding out where you got it would help. Some rebuilders include the gaskets and o-rings, but there'* alot more you should do in the process. Fuel injector o-rings and cleaning the MAF and TB for starters.

In the long run, you're going to need a supercharger outlet gasket, two yellow coolant o-rings, a throttle body gasket, and a fuel injector 0-ring kit.

Is the pulley still on the old supercharger? Did the new one come with one? Are they the same size? What do the rotors in the rebuilt supercharger look like? Shiny? Black? Dull gray?

I bought it from ebay as a rebuilt. I will be glad to post the link. I bought the gasket kit. Which contains the following.
A throttle body gasket and manifold gasket which contains 2 yellow o rings. The condition of the rotors they look shiny on the edges but there carbon residue on them. The pulley is on the the supercharger and it is 2 3/8 inch on the inside. I will measure what is on the the car and make sure they are the same. Thanks for the informatoin. I really appreciate it.
