Default Morad Gen 3 Rotors showed up!

Just arrived today in the mail.
The used Gen 3 rotors with coating 100% intact

They are a bit dirty though. Should I clean them or leave the carbon build up for extra sealing capability. :?

Replacing the rotors in the Gen 3 he just pulled off. He'* had some coating loss on the other rotors.

Best thing is to not clean them. In an application where the EGR is still hooked up they will look like that fairly quickly. On the sealing aspect, the gook will help slightly.

Thanks Bill, that is what I will do.

I have no plans on re-installing this EGR.
I know what every says but I trade off the risk with the benefits of a cooler and cleaner intake. :?

The pic shows how I have been running it for the last 3 years with a filter on the end so it fools the computer and does not throw any codes.
I now have the PCM reprogrammed by INTENSE to eliminate the code so I can remove the entire EGR, like Todd did since he runs an intercooler and wants to keep it clean and efficient.

Here are pics of my old Gen 3 rotors. I rotated it thru each of the pics so you can see the entire surfaces. Notice it is mostly one rotor that had the defective coating.

Also notice the scuffing on the ends of that rotor. :?

I did not have to clean these rotors. That is exactly how they came out of the engine.
