Okay, here'* the deal:
When I measure the outside I get almost 3" on my M62. Is the actual measurement groove depth, belt depth, what? Every time I mash on the gas, it pegs the boost gauge, we're talkin' 10+ and it pulls hard. So I need to know what I got so I can accurately plan future mods... :?

You're all a bunch of smart a$$es :P a ruler...
How bout markings and insignias illustrating stock or aftermarket hardware?, type of belt used, PSI reading..things like that...
Unless you rip it apart, I have my reservations about the ease of measuring a 2.2" pulley for a stock 2.5" :?
But I don't have a pulley so I digress

You need to measure the belt surface with a pair of calipers, or cut a 'caliper' out of cardboard, and keep cutting til it fits. Then measure it with the non-canadian side of the ruler. 2.55" is stock for your year, 2.2" is the suggested performance size. If you're bigger than 2.55" and pegging the gauge, someone did some upgrade work to your M62 before you bought it.
