Guess what. Today I had no choice but to drive so of course I start car i drive and stutter but this time a c/e light came on. I shut car off about 3miles later. When i get back into car to leave I get no stutterin, no c/e light, and no erratic noise. Car is riding fine. What does this sound like? I ordered coupler anyway from ZZperform. I was thinkn about disassemblin the blower this week but ZZ didn't have the gaskets. Would I definitely need the gaskets? They didnt have the orings for injectors either

By me disassembling the unit. How am I really benefitting. I mean I'd really just be cleaning the excess carbon, right? And would that affect anything. Do I lose performance if its not cleaned?

Do you still have the play in the pulley? I would assume you do. It'* not something that will just disappear.
The benefits of dismanteling the SC and "rebuilding" it is the fact of knowing the coupler is now in perfect working order again, clean out carbon deposits, reseal injectors (if you pull the whole unit off), andposibly install a smaller SC pulley at the same time.
If it is working now you probably can get away with doing nothing at all. Like I mentioned before, I ran mine for about 3 years knowing the SC needed a new coupler. It just never failed on me. MY personal thoughts would be to still do the maintaince but you can do it when you have enough free time, doesn't have to be right this minute.

I'm definitly doin the coupler Saturday I m just tryin to debate whether or not to go the route where I take off the alt in which I would just be doing the coupler or go the route of leavin the alt and takin off the */c. I know if i take off the */c I would prob need to replace the gaskets. Do u think napa or pepboys might sell the gaskets and o rings for injectors? And if i take off */c do I need that special blue grease they were talking about in the post or not?

Local parts stores probably won't have most of the gaskets you need stocked. They could get them but it would take a few days. Dealer has them stocked. The dealer also has the "air tight" red RTV type sealant you will want to use to reseal the nose cone. Either way you go you might want to pull the Alt off just to make it easier. It is real simple to do so it should be worth the effort to make things easier.
