I've been getting a faint chirping from the SC nose area at idle and it get faster under throttle (all heard with hood popped working on engine). Inside the car I can only hear the whine and leaky SLP flexpipe, but I thought for a split second I heard this chirp from inside. I just installed a ZZP coupler so I'm almost positive that isnt the problem because I heard the noise before I installed it. So I'm guessing the bearings are going out somewhere in the nose. Sadly I'm not sure what bearings are known to go bad or how to service them.

Anyone?

My understanding is the coupler makes a clicking sound when it starts to fail? The chirp does sound bearing related. You can try to isolate it with a stethascope (sp).

And where could I aquire one of these wonderous devices?

A chirp tends to be a belt. Most bearings, even on an idler won't do that. Bearings make more of a grinding or rumbling noise.

Try a little WD-40 to troubleshoot. Start with the belt, since you won't be able to keep it off of that anyway. Just a little spray or two while it'* running. Then try each idler, one at a time.
