Default Round 2 *UPDATE*

Have some questions.......

I am currrently just about done pulling off my supercharger for the 2nd time and want to possibly want to upgrade in the process.

One, The guy i'm getting a replacement is offering to put a smaller pulley, 2.55 i belive. But, the the guy is saying that a smaller pulley will put a strain on an engine with more miles. I know A LOT of people have done this and need to know if this is a true statment.....

The second is, should i am thinking about puting in a 180 degree thermo. while the car is down. How hard is this? What kind should I buy? Anyone got instructions on how to do this on a series 1?

Thanks A LOT!

John, I'll come up and help you with the thermo. Easy as pie, with the FSM'*. Secondly, you already have a 2.55" pulley, and even if it WAS smaller, there is no extra strain on the motor.

NONE. Some on the blower, but they'll last 100k easy.

His name is Randy. He works out of chicago rebuilding 3800 superchargers. His "screen name' on ebay is ALuckydog13. I have been in contact with him even before we bought the supercharger online from ebay. Seems to know mostly what he'* talking about, just need to get a good supercharger from him, which is coverd under a 2 year warranty.

For more info. click the link below. It is the ebay auction i won for the supercharger:

mmm...wouldn't upping the boost and heat put more strain on the engine? The smaller pully itself won't hurt the engine, but the effects will push it further.

Going from 8-9 psi to 10-11 psi. I don't see this as much of a problem with our engines. Good head gaskets, cast iron block and heads.

Absolutely. The pulley will really wake your car up. Assuming you get a good supercharger this time, and your BCS and BCA are in good condition with no vacuum leaks, you should get 9-10psi of boost with your intake setup (stock + K&N). Maybe as high as 11psi with a custom intake.
