Default boost guage question

93SSEI boost at idle is about -10 goes into +area rarely only under hard acceleration. Is this normal? When I had the car into the dealer years ago they told me it was normal.

Max at WOT with a stock pulley and clean air filter on your car should be about 8-9psi. -10 at idle is normal, and 0 would be under moderate accelleration.

Sounds similar to what my 93 sse does, at WOT the boost gauge will climb barely into the + side of the gauge. I miss my SC but don't know where to start. This seems to be a common problem, does anyone know of a solution, or a way to narrow down what the problem might be. Vaccum?? 10Q

It'* most likely either belt slip or a bad BCS.

Check that the boost control solenoid is working. costs less than $50 to replace I've heard.
You should be able so see belt dust on the hood protector if its been slipping?
