Default 94 */C on a 1993?

This has probably been asked, but I couldn't find a thread on it:

Will a Supercharger from a 1994 work on a 1993? Would any adaptations be needed??

Thanks,
Adam

Lots of adaptation, believe it or not.

Not only will you need the 'charger, you will also need the TB, throttle bracket, new MAF calibration, and a retune of your PCM (or in your case, a new chip burn) for the new MAF tables that you will need.

Thanks,
There was one for sale in the local paper for a pretty good price, but sounds like a lot of work is needed.

Two current cars on this forum have. We both are still trying to iron the wrinkles out. Not worth it for a DD, but probably for a toy if you have a budget and patience.

Thanks,

Mine is definitely a DD! The only car my little family has!

When I e-mailed the guy selling it, I asked if he thought it would work on my '93.

"Yes, it will work no problem for a 1993 Series 1 SSEi"

I e-mailed part of the response Sandrock gave above to him, obviously he like myself didn't realize they were not compatable. Hopefully he won't steer someone else in the wrong direction.

Thanks for clearing the air!

Adam
