After jump starting my car with a big jump starter (had to be wheeled over to the car) there was a spark. Mechanic was a bit confused about no battery in the engine well (Bonneville 2001 SE). Since then I have a static sound when starting the car coming from the dash instrument cluster that lasts about 6-8 seconds and maybe 2 seconds when I turn the car off. Something obviously went wrong but I don't know what or what it could lead to. My mechanic was non-commital about whether the jump caused any problem but I didn't have it before. The battery died while he was trying to get my door panel off to work on the front and rear passanger side windows which have stopped working. Does anyone have any idea?
