Default Silverstars vs Stock Halogen headlight bulbs.

After spending some time researching this topic i decided to go and replace all of my old bulbs with the new Silverstars.

I have disconnected both lowbeams first and replaced left High beam bulb with the new Silverstar and kept the stock halogen on the right side to compare..I parked the cars about 40 feet from my white garage door and wow, what a difference..

Now i hope that they last long and i made sure NOT TO touch the bulb lense..

I do have few pictures but now sure how to include them with this post..

Ugh...I think you forgot to type in the word NOT when it comes to handling the glass portion of the bulb. Which Silverstar'* did you get? Original or Extra Crispy (Silverstar Ultra).

The latest bulb from Sylvania, Silverstar Ultra, claims to be brighter and last longer.

Yes I meant "not", thanks. I just bought the regular silverstars for $26 CDN a piece..

Many of us run the SilverStar bulbs and are quite familiar with them. Don't sweat the pics.

I run SilverStar lows and Cool Blue highs. Been that way for 5 years. Just keep in mind the SS'* don't seem to last as long in the newer cars. My theory is that your headlights aren't as well dampened from road vibration as the 92-95'*.

My first set of Silverstars lasted just over a year. So, as a year was approaching on the second set, I bought replacements. That was a bit over 2 years ago, and I just replaced them tonight when one burned out.

Early on it seemed as thought there were issues 96+ with SS'*.. However, we've had plenty of 96+ running SS'* without issues. The 880 or fog light bulbs never seemed to last. I've run SS'* for two years now in a 97 without an issue or problem.
