Awsome and thank you.

Kinda worried about the connector differences between the two... Bill, would you be able to check between the 95 and 93 service manuals?

Thanks :D

So, the ones that don't have supercharged under them, they arn't, correct? That seems odd that GM would put 140's in others before the Bonneville; esp. with all the electronic crap...

All of those are correct.

John, on the connector, it enters the TOP of the 140 alternator, not on the side/bottom like yours. But the OEM harness reaches it, and hooks right up.

Remember, my 160 amp custom alternator was built off the 140 body. And I installed it with no modification (the only part I can't remember is if I upgraded my feed due to terminal size or not. I have a larger-gauge wire feeding my battery from the alternator now).

Ok, the connector part is still the same, just a different location. Correct?

Napa got me a Raylock 140 amp a while back.

John S, the connector is identical. I could swap between my two cars in minutes with no problems now.

I have an extra that I bought in GA before I came up the ALCAN. Acording to what Mr. Wren posted, it may (97 SSEi) work. I had it tested before I left and is was putting out 126A with engine at running temperature 8)

I'll be happy to send it to you and let you try it. It should fit in the "ship it anywhere" flat-rate USPS box for $8.10 ;)
