ok first off mine is working great .. its the bonneville'* dic thats not...sorry for the funny subject but its true. my driver information center (dic) is currently lighting up along with the whole dash when i put the headlights on but it wont tell me if any of my doors or trunk is open or it wont display anything at all.? it will just light up and thats it.. any ideas... i recently changed my pcm with one from a 95 sse. but i dont think this is the reason. can someone please help? thanks

its working correctly

the DIC on the SE'* dont show the doors or the trunk when they are open. Its nothing like your 88 DIC

It will show you to check your gauges. That'* about it. Maybe washer fluid level too?

(I have one of both types as you know......the SE/SLE DIC basically is worthless but fills an empty spot on the cluster rather nicely).

check gauges like ? gas, oil, and temp gauges. thats retarted that my 88 has plenty more options and features.

Your 88 is an SSE, the SE cluster is not that advanced.

That is an SSEi. You don't have an SSEi. You have an SE. As already stated in this topic, the SSE/SSEi get a full-featured DIC with all the doors, fluids, and lamp monitor functions.
