Default Lamp Monitor...?

Hi guys, I'm hoping you all can help me today. I may have mentioned this problem before, but it'* still un-resolved. If you can provide any help, please do so.

The problem is as follows: I'll be driving my Bonne to work or so, and all of the sudden, the 'Lamp Monitor' light comes on, and the tone sounds. Routine, right? Un-fortunately not. There is no light indicating which bulb it'* telling me is out; Only the 'Lamp Monitor' indicator. The first couple of times this happened, I pulled-over, and double-checked the lights; All was fine. I dismissed it as a quirk, but it keeps happening. Not only does it happen during the night, when my head-lights are on, but also during the day, when my head-lights are off. I did a thourough check of all the lights last night; Including the license-plate illuminator, and everything was fine. Being that I have no knowledge beyone basic, and routine car maintnance, I'm dead in the water. It'* not a serious problem, but after several times in a single trip, it does begin to un-nerve you...

Thanks in advance.

Is there like a Yellow line running accross the back or front of the car picture in the DIC? That could point you in the general direction... I'd check one of the mor annoying lights like the license plate bulbs, or one of the inner tail light bulbs.

I think you are gonna have to check all your bulb sockets for corrosion and continuity for the grounds.

my 92 SSEi does the exact same thing, although mine shows brake light or tail light and they are both working just fine, and all cleaned out, i think it must be a 92 quirk

With a little time and patience, you can fix it and get it right. They are very reliable systems, just a little too smart for their own britches sometimes.

Clean all sockets and lamps, install with dielectric grease. Don't forget all the little 194'* for the rear running (tail) light circuit or the 2 license plate lights. The 3rd brake light can be especially stubborn too.
