Kill switch?
Yeah, I would go with the starter circuit myself. Playng around and potentially screwing up the VATS just don't feel right to me....
Maybe try to run the switch wiring to a small rocker switch in the center console (if she has one). I'm just trying to think of a place it would be easy to reach, but hard to see.
I did this to an old 70-something Cutlass I had. But I used the floor dimmer switch for it. Lost the High Beams, but nobody could start my car but me....

just be 100% triple sure they never find out about it...then you'd have to rewire the silly thing all over again. definitely sounds like a discipline prob. if i had kids...and they ever did that to me...i'd call the cops. a night in the clink would leave a lasting impression.

What about something like this to keep them varmints from starting the car. You have to enter a code in this keypad before you can turn the ignition key

in my opinion a keypad is WAY too easy to get around. pull it out, jump the correct wires. and you have yourself ignition. how hard is that?
a hidden switch tucked under the dash is a much better choice because if they dont know about it, they cant use the car.
putting it under the driver seat would actually be a good idea. That way the driver doesn't have to "reach" down below the dash and give away the general area that the switch is in. I know I can touch under the seat w/o bending/leaning over.
