Default Kill switch?

Hey guys, if this isn't posted in the right place just move it for me. A friend of mine'* mom has a '92 or '93 bonneville, can't remember which, which she just got from her parents. Nice shape, maroon 100k miles great shape. One problem, her sons keep taking it at night because they get their hands on her spare set. She wanted me to replace the lock cylinder, but i told her no way too much $$$. I told her i'd find a way to install a microswitch so she could kill the car at night. Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking tapping into the vats wires. Yes/no?

So wiring a kill switch in-line with either of the vats wires will work? So she flips the switch, and he tries to start it, nothing will happen or it will start and die? Then she flips it back and the computer thinks all is good.

you should be able to put a switch on any ignition wire. heck, you could put a switch on the starter relay.

Yea i know her kids have some problems, but i don't think they'd go to the trouble to try and mess with it to make it work. If it didn't start they'd probably just walk to where they were going. So i have a few options, starter relay, VATS wire, or an ignition wire disable. Could someone well me that color the start wire is under the dash coming off the column? I think it'* pink but i'm not sure.

How about discipline her children? Take the damn keys away!

Anyways, I'm not sure I really follow, just put a small hidden switch that she can flip and the car won't start?

Ok so i should put the switch on the yellow wire... i can do that. Well she does take the keys away, but she'* a single parent that works all the time and her little bastards always find her spare set. So i told her it'll just be easier this way, then who cares and she won't have to worry about losing her keys.
