Ok I was telling my brother about the problem I might have with the module. He said before I take it out to check my alternator. He said if I start the car and disconnect the positive battery cable then the car should still run if the alternator is good. So I tried it and beofre I even got the bolt all the way out it cut off. When I pushed the positive cable back up against the battery it got power again. So my next question is, does that really mean that my alternator has gone bad?
I am not sure if it means it is, but if you take the alt off and take it to an autozone or advanced (can't remember which) they will test it for you for free. I had one checked here and it was a 15 minute job. That would rule that one out.
Also, I have an RAC module that I pulled from my 93 SSEi that was working when pulled. Let me know if you are interested in it.

Im definitely interested. I will have to check mine to see whether I have the one with 2 or 3 connectors to it. I will check and let you know. Thanks for letting me know you have one.
If you look at the tech info article you'll see the 1st pic shows a connector with white wires. That is not the ground buss. The ground buss (black wires) is shown in the other

Ok I see now. Yea, I checked and cleaned the connector with the black wires. I might possibly be blind because I didn't even notice that were any other connectors besides the ones with the black wires.
The other thing I was wondering is if your car even has the RAC module. I saw in your door lock post that you don't have the remote. Did all SSE'* have the keyless remote option? If you don't know then check the spare tire cover for a RPO Code that starts with AU.
