Default HUD problems..

well.. i had a department meeting tonight, and i like showin up to work in style ( for now) so i drove the bonne..and the HUD is really messing up. For example..if i am going like 45 mph ..it would be correct displaying 45 mph...but then it'd flash down to like 32 (or any random number) ..then down to like 5 ...then 0. ..then it'd work again.. ..and for about a 5 minute stretch it was a solid 0. ..then it came back. ...total confusion going on over here. ..help please

Was your trans doing anything weird? TC still work ok? If both of those are ok, I'll assume your VSS is cool....so I'd be looking for a loose connection on the HUD itself.

It'd be cool to put a scantool on your car and read the VSS realtime, while watching the HUD.

Oh, yeah... bad circuit-board connectors in or around the gauge cluster, I'd say.

Any other fluorescent displays going wonky on you at the same time?
