Default How to replace light steering wheel button

I have had a bulb go out on the steering wheel under the volume button. I know I've read posts where someone stated the replacement bulb and how to remove the button from the top without taking the steering wheel (and airbag) apart.

I can't find it with the search.

What bulb
Where can I get it
How do I Do it?

Depends on the year for steering controls. 92-95 were bolted to the wheel. 96-99 are switch pods that are merely pushed into the wheel.. gently use something small to coax them out.

I assume yours will be like the 96-99

It'* the 2003--I just realized I didn't say which year in my post.

Do those come out the same?

I'm not sure, haven't found any in the yards yet and no owner is usually willing to let you experiment.

Check the back of the wheel...there might be screws or something.

I checked Alldata, and couldn't find any information on how they come apart.

Default Sterring Wheel Controls

They do pop out but I didn't have time to look at how to change the bulb or what kind it is. I have one out also. My car is a 2000 SSEi
