Default some type of electrical problem...96 sle

hey guys just wonderin if im headed in the right direction to fix this ''problem"...Lately when i drive my car and have both my headlights and stereo on the display on my temperature control center flickers...im not sure if its just from there being too much drain on the battery just because im not blasting the stereo...as far as i can remember the altenator has been changed recently, but i think the battery might be on its way out...could any of this be due to the fact that the belt on the car is on its way out (ive been meaning to change it but havent gotten a chance cause i dont have the tools up at school with me) or is it time to probably invest in a new battery (im pretty sure its a 7yr delco battery but not positive)???

first, get a multimeter on the battery, and also you can see if the alt is charging....
