emergency brake keeps dinging at me and the brake isnt engaged.whatdo i do. i have a 93 bonneville

My 95 did that when the master cyclinder was on its way out, It had nothing to do with the ebrake, thats what my issue was, but yours could be different, check the grounding points on the ebrake

The brake light will also come on if your brake fluid is LOW. check your brake fluid. Top it off and monitor it VERY closely. i had this problem on my 97, and it was the master cylinder slowly failing and leaking out the rear seal to where it wasnt very noticable, until i hit the brakes and i had NO brakes.
