Default electronic climate control issue

When I run the climate control the air flow does not get redirected...the doors do not open and close to redirect the air flow.... 1996 Bonneville SSE...help...thanks

Under the hood, right next to the brake booster (to the left of the brake booster), there should be a small vacuum hose coming out from under that box. If it is loose, dry rotted, or not there at all, that is the problem. I had the same problem...got some new hose and hooked it up - all good.

On a 96, the vacuum tank won't be located on the firewall. (This tells us you have a 87-95.) In 96-99 on an NA motor you will want to follow the brake booster hose to the upper intake manifold. At the connection is a port for the HVAC hose that gives the various under dash diaphrams vaccum. Under the dash this incoming line has a purple end on it. SC'd engines 96-99 would have the center port on top of the supercharger connected to that line.

00-05 are electrically actuated IIRC.
