Default DRL questions

I have a 2005 SLE that I wanted to disable the daytime running lights from the headlights and connect them to lets say LED lighting. However I don't want to disable any of the automatic lighting features. any ideas?

I dont think you can. Your car uses the same wiring for the head lights and the drls. One of the other guys here might know someway around it. I do not. Good luck with your idea.

like he said there is no place to break the drl. because the light sensor goes to the light control module and it controls weather drls or headlights are required but use the same wires. the light sensor wouldnt be easy to interface. the easiest thing i can think of is a double throw relay operated by a switch inside so you can switch the lcm output from the headlights to leds or what ever you want. even that would likley set off alarms on your DIC. your best bet would just be add a relay to the headlight circuit to control the leds and have them both be on.
