drivers side doors
i have a 2000 ssei and the functions in the front driver side door and rear driver side dont work at all...the master window switches, mirrors, door locks, and seat memory do not work..the window switch on the back door doesnt work either..passenger side doors work fine..replaced module for front door but no dice..keyless works the locks just fine..how could both drivers side doors just quit like that?

I sent Tony a PM today to see if he fixed the problem, and got the following response:
Not yet. i pulled the carpet to check that connector under the drivers seat and it look decent, not corroded that much. changed it out anyway..all the wiring looks good as new..the doors communicate with my keyless remote so im not really sure what to do next. This weekend im gonna take the inner door off and test the switches and plugs with a voltage tester..is it possible that all the switches in those two doors just failed at roughly the same time?....also when i hit the unlock button on the remote, my drivers seat moves to the first memory preset..so really everything works except for the switches themselves...if i had hair i'd be pulling it out about now..any suggestions would be fantastic
Can anyone help him with this issue?

ok, i checked the plugs that go to each switch in my door with my voltmeter and they seem to be putting out power..so are all my switches toast?
You can test the output of the switches to make certain they are pumping the volts down stream from the switch. I think you'll find that the switches are okay.
It sounds to me like you have a Driver'* Door Module that might have gone out. That module can be the culprit for much of the door and window issues you have experienced.

i just tried taking my driver door lock switch and plugging it into the pasenger side door and it works just fine..now im totally out of ideas..switches are good..remote still works the locks, door lights work, speakers work and it has a new oem module and still no mirrors, windows, memory(except when i hit the unlock button on the keyfob)and lock switch..i really dont wanna take it to the dealer cuz i know its gonna be expensive.Dont think i have much of a choice now.
looks like were in the same boat. I've decided that I'm just gonna take mine to the dealer. Only thing that will upset me is that if its something simple and they charge me a arm and a leg just to fix the problem!
