Question Delta88 gauges out-inst.volt reg.?

1987 full size rwd V8 Custom Cruiser, analog temp/oil press gauges not working-prolly factory volt gauge is not getting volts too since a previous owner installed an after market one (working).

Could there be a voltage regulator for the gauges & if so, where might it be & what would it look like? TIA.

No voltage regulator, but you might want to check all the fuses.

thanks, 2kg, will recheck fuses etc. btw, the speedometer lites are mostly burnt out & were evidently the wrong wattage or whatever as they melted/destroyed the pc board they are mounted on-could be an engineering problem or...? also I was unable to disconnect the speedo cable to get to the heart of the matter-my hands/arms r 2 big-it seems the whole dash was factory installed as a pre assembled unit. is there an easy way to take these instrument pannels apart without destroying things? TIA

they do have the alt sense wire for alt charging usually goes through the light so if your alt works they must have done some rewiring. not sure about your specific car how to get at all that but it would seems easier to me to just put aftermarket gauges in it
