Um, I really doubt that they're _that_ different from the '93s.

Tell me exactly what you're seeing there: it'* one connector, with 24 pins, it'* gray _and_ blue? There are no other connectors on this box at all?

In skimming the manual, I see a gray 24-pin connector for the amplifier, with the pins in two rows of 12. #1 cavity is orange, #4 is black, #7 is red, then pink next to it, then dark blue, etc. Does that fit what you're seeing?

I'll look some more and post again if I seen anything else that'* possible...

Ask and ye shall receive:

No bids yet; you might want to watch the auction since it'* still in its early days.

Frankly, there'* a buyer out there for most _anything_; you just need to take good clear photos, use an accurate title for the listing that will bring it up when people use search terms such as "Pontiac amplifier," ask a low starting price (that guy'* asking way too much for a starting price if he'* planning to get a bidding war going) and hope for the best.

I think you're photographing it upside-down, but other than that...

I dunno; I haven't heard either of those, but I would lean more towards the '95 box. You'll have more than a few pinouts to match up before you get some sounds out of that, but at least you've got the stubs of the original wiring harnesses so you can identify which wire went where in the original car.

The chime module does more different chime rhythms than it does different chime _sounds_. For example, if you leave your parking brake on, or have your Brake warning light on for any other reason, and the car measures 50 feet of forward travel, the chime unit will start a slow, steady "bong...bong...bong..." that continues indefinitely until you either fix the problem or go out of your mind.

If a fault develops while you're driving and some warning in the DIC lights up, the chime module gives you four rapid chimes at that time, just once: "BongBongBongBong." It will also do this when a door, hood or trunk lid is opened while the car is running _if_ the parking brake is not set. If the parking brake is on, the chime is silenced.

There are some other warnings, too, mainly for when you're getting out of the car: Key in Ignition reminder, Lights On, that kind of thing. There might be more; I don't recall right now.

I'm not sure how successful you're going to be at the library as far as finding one diagram that covers all the circuits, but we might have that info around here. I'll take a look at my FSMs when I get a chance, maybe tonight or tomorrow...
